Malorita Vegetable Canning Plant to debut in Chinese baby food market

BREST, 13 June (BelTA) -  Malorita Vegetable Canning Plant has concluded a contract to ship the first batch of baby food to China, deputy director of the company Lyudmila Voznosimenko told the media, BelTA has learned.

“We met with Chinese partners in the spring. They visited our factory, got acquainted with the manufacturing process and tasted our baby food products. They showed a great interest in our products because we use organic domestic raw materials. We agreed on deliveries. We are sending a trial batch of baby food these days and hope for long-term cooperation,” Lyudmila Voznosimenko said. The company will send the baby food products in a flexible pouch-packaging and also in 100g and 190g glass containers.

Representatives of Vietnam also showed interest in Malorita-made goods. The delegation of Lao Cai Province is in Brest Oblast on a two-day visit. On 13 June the Brest Science and Technology Park hosted a business meeting between the Vietnamese delegation and local exporters. “The members of the delegation tasted our goods, invited us to take part in the baby food expo due in Vietnam in December. We were assured that our products will be in demand. We will be working to develop cooperation, to hold further talks. We are very interested in new markets,” she noted.

The exhibition organized for the Vietnamese guests also featured goods made by Bereza meat-packing plant, Brest meat-processing plant, Brestskoye Pivo brewery, Brest Distillery, Beresteisky Pekar bakery, Malorita Vegetable Canning Plant, First Chocolate Company and also dairy plants from Brest, Baranovichi, Pruzhany, and Bereza. The head of the Vietnamese delegation, Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee Dang Xuan Phong praised the high quality of Belarusian products.
