MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) – The exposition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus was on display at the Cairo International Exhibition for Information and Communication Technology (Cairo ICT 2020) which took place in Cairo on 22-25 November, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Egypt.
Cairo ICT is a key technology event in IT for transportation, engineering, banking and financial services, healthcare, education, energy, and security. This year the exhibition gathered more than 400 companies from countries such as Belarus, Russia, China, USA, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, the Republic of Korea, and Saudi Arabia. Egypt President Abdel Fattah Khalil el-Sisi attended the opening ceremony.
Made in Belarus exposition showcased the latest developments of research organizations of the National Academy of Sciences and higher educational institutions of the Education Ministry. In particular, the Belarusian State University presented a number of medical solutions: a set of medical programs in cardiology, mathematical models for surgical practice, computer modeling for the development of medications against coronavirus SARS-CoV. The BSUSat nanosatellite was also on display.
The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics showcased its latest developments in information protection for enterprises of banking and customs sectors. The Belarusian-Russian University presented the information and advertising system Electronic Guide for public transport. The United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences demonstrated an intelligent micro-module for on-board recognition of surface images and objects, as well as a cluster personal supercomputer UIIP-OFFICE, designed for complex scientific calculations, modeling, solving engineering problems and teaching parallel programming technologies in universities.
Made in Belarus exposition was organized by Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exposition was organized with the active participation and support of the Belarusian embassy in Egypt.
