SMOLEVICHI DISTRICT, 3 April (BelTA) – Production efficiency, not quantitative indicators, should be the main criterion for the assessment of work for local executives, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during his working trip to Smolevichi District, Minsk Oblast, on 3 April, BelTA has learned.
“They started suggesting different criteria for the assessment of work of enterprises in regions. Weight gain, milk yield, etc. And I’m saying: we saw all that in Soviet times. What weight gain? Money!” the Belarusian leader stressed.
“If there is money in the budget, if there is a yearly increase in a local budget, a governor can allocate a certain amount for stimuli. Who needs these weight gains? The main objective is to earn money,” the head of state explained.
