MINSK, 29 May (BelTA) – Enterprises can receive assistance only for concrete promising projects or contracts and for a short period, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the meeting with the workers of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) on 29 May, BelTA informs.
“The authorities, members of the parliament, and top executives of the enterprise should create favorable conditions for your work. Unlike some, I am not saying that as the election campaign has started, we will start throwing money from a helicopter. This is not going to happen. Our people are smart, they understand that the only thing one can throw from a helicopter is leaflets. I will not promise this, no matter how popular this idea is. On no account,” the president said.
During his visit to Minsk Tractor Works, Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke with directors of industrial enterprises that supply their products to the tractor maker. “I have spoken with the head of the BATE enterprise: it needs money to replensih working assets. Fine, we will lend some for three or five months, if you have products you can sell straight away. We will give you money to make such products and then sign a contract to sell them. No one will allocate funds for nothing. The same applies to workers,” the Belarusian president noted.
Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that is it important for enterprises to continue working in the current situation to continue paying salaries to employees.
