MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Mexico President Manuel Lopez Obrador as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state reaffirmed Belarus’ interest in stepping up contacts with Mexico. “I am convinced that our countries have a considerable potential for the development of an open political dialogue and also mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade, economic and other sectors,” the president stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that joint effort would help take the Belarusian-Mexican relations onto a qualitatively new level.
