MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – There is no imposing the services of tax consultants on business, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with representatives of the business community on 22 December, BelTA informs.
“I wish to warn the tax authorities: do not try to shift your work on tax consultants or impose their services on business. The company should decide by itself whether it needs the services of a tax mediator,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
In his words, the decree on tax consulting envisages the introduction of a professional institute of mediators between businessmen and tax bodies. These people, apart from consulting, will provide services in keeping book records and tax accounting.
“Consultants will be held accountable for the quality of the services they provide. We do not need mediators who are responsible for nothing,” the president stressed.
