MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – An action plan for the period of 2019-2020 on implementing the memorandum of understanding between the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom and Uztekstilprom Association was signed during Global Textile Days – Tashkent 2019 in Uzbekistan, BelTA learned from the Bellegprom website.
The action plan stipulates measures to invigorate cooperation of textile, apparel, and knitwear goods enterprises of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
Bellegprom Chairwoman Tatiana Lugina met with Chairman of Uztekstilprom Association Ilkhom Khaidarov. The sides sketched out prospects of trade and economic cooperation and worked out an algorithm for implementing the roadmap on advancing cooperation. The sides noted that previously reached agreements were being fulfilled on the whole: a number of Belarusian companies now closely cooperate with enterprises in Uzbekistan. The possibility of opening proprietary shops of Belarusian companies in Uzbekistan is under consideration.
The Bellegprom chairwoman took part in the international conference “The digitalization of the textile industry – the creation of textiles of the future”. In her speech she spoke about tighter cooperation between Belarusian and Uzbek light industry enterprises and outlined new promising avenues of cooperation. Participants of the conference discussed new trends in textile industry, the development of international textile technologies, certification and digital marketing, scientific research in the development of smart textile.
Belarus was represented by Orsha Linen Mill during the Uzbekistan textile products and fashion industry expo.
