MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Libya is interested in supplies of BELARUS tractors, BelTA learned from the press service of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) following the visit of a Libyan delegation.
During the negotiations, the parties noted that the political situation in Libya is improving. The most important issue is ensuring the country’s food security. In view of this, the Libyan government plans to purchase agricultural machines and is looking into various options.
The Libyan delegation asked MTZ to prepare business offers with characteristics of machines for them to place an order and conclude contracts in the short term.
MTZ Deputy Director General for Marketing Mikhail Kadnikov assured that the enterprise has already prepared and will soon send business offers that suit the demands of the potential client. MTZ is also ready to provide sales and after-sales services of MTZ machines and training of Libyan agricultural workers.
During the visit, the Libyan delegation visited the MTZ museum to get familiar with the history of the plant, the assembly workshop, and the exhibition of machinery.
The cooperation between MTZ and Libyan was established in 1965. Since 2012, the Belarusian company has shipped 125 tractors to Libya.
