Large batch of new Belarusian harvesters put to work in Georgian fields

MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – A large batch of new Belarusian harvesters are now working in fields of Georgia. The official ceremony to commission the grain harvesters took place in farmlands of Georgia’s Kakheti Province, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Georgia told BelTA.

The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission Mikhail Myatlikov, Georgian Environment Protection and Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili, Kakheti Province Governor Irakli Kadagishvili, Deputy Director of the Regional Sales Department of the Belarusian agricultural machinery producing company Gomselmash Natalya Terebilo, and top executives of the Georgian company Mekhanizator, which operates the Belarusian machines, took part in the ceremony.

The Georgian side praised the quality of the Belarusian grain harvesters. Specialists underlined that the performance of the Belarusian agricultural machines is on par with world brands.

Mikhail Myatlikov remarked that Belarus is interested in further expanding the presence of Belarusian agricultural machines in regions of Georgia. In addition to selling the machines efforts will be channeled into training Georgian maintenance specialists and organizing aftersales service.

Plans to ship the first batch of 30 Belarusian harvesters KZS-10 and KZS-812 to Georgia were mentioned by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Rusy before Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko visited Georgia in March.
