MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) - Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) hopes for the active cooperation with the Russian company Slavkaliy as part of the project to build a new mine in Belarus, Director General of the Belarusian Potash Company Yelena Kudryavets told reporters, BelTA has learned.
"We are happy that this project is being implemented in Belarus. We will only benefit from this and we are looking forward to active cooperation and results,” she noted.
The main thing today is to develop demand today, and "then new projects will be needed,” Yelena Kudryavets said.
The Russian company Slavkaliy was established in 2011. It plans to build a mining and processing factory at the Starobin deposit of potash salts. It will produce from 1.1 to 2 million tonnes of potassium chloride. The construction is expected to be lunched on 11 September.
