MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – The Korean company KTNET (Korea Trade Network) suggests exporting IT services to third countries together with Belarus. The statement was made by Don Lee, head of KTNET’s Global Business Division, as he met with Belarusian Information Technologies and Communications Minister Sergei Popkov on 15 April, BelTA has learned.

According to the source, the introduction of a paperless trading system with KTNET’s assistance in Belarus will become a new stage in cooperation of Belarusian and Korean specialists. “We count on cooperation with Belarus for the assimilation of this system in Eastern and Central Europe countries later on,” noted Don Lee.

The KTNET suggested signing an agreement on cooperation with the Belarusian association Infopark. Terms of the joint export of services will be stipulated by the agreement.

KTNET representatives handed over research results and the technical and economic substantiation for creating a national paperless trade system to the Belarusian side on 15 April. Don Lee told BelTA that since Belarus has a well-developed information technologies industry, there is a good basis for creating a paperless trade system in the country. A lot has yet to be done to present Belarusian products before foreign consumers, particularly the commercial art and design of merchandise.

KTNET is the developer and operator of the Korean national paperless trade system. The system is used by about 97,000 clients and trade organizations connected with banks, customs brokers, shipping companies, insurance companies, forwarding agents, and customs warehouses.
