Kommunarka to launch new supplies to China in August

MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – Belarusian confectionary Kommunarka plans to launch the delivery of a new brand of sweets to China in August 2018, Kommunarka Director General Ivan Danchenko said in an interview to the STV TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“Today we export to 19 countries. These are all former states of the Soviet Union, Baltic states, Germany, Hungary, the United States, Canada, and Israel. We are now making our way to the Chinese market. A new brand of sweets has been developed especially for this market. In the second part of June we will start producing and testing them on our domestic market, and start selling it to China in August,” the director general said.

According to Ivan Danchenko, the factory has been significantly upgraded in the recent years. “We have installed new technological lines. All world corporations use this technology. Without increasing the personnel we have expanded the production and sales 1.5 times and doubled the exports. This year the profitability of sales stands within 18-20%. Last year it was 20.5%,” he said.

According to Ivan Danchenko, about $40 million has been invested in modernization of the company in recent years. “Our goal is competitiveness. We are currently implementing a new investment project. This year we will inject at least Br30 million in it,” he explained. It is planned that the new equipment will be installed to produce chocolate and sweets using a cold stamping technology.
