MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – A delegation from Kazakhstan led by Deputy Prime Minister Askar Zhumagaliyev paid a visit to Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park on 28 February, BelTA learned from the Hi-Tech Park.
The delegation comprises representatives of the leading organizations engaged in IT development in Kazakhstan: Chairman of the Board of Kazakhtelecom Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National infocommunication holding company Zerde Alexey Anisimov.
The visit focused on discussing cooperation in digitization in the Eurasian Economic Union and sharing IT development experience of Kazakhstan and Belarus.
The Hi-Tech Park business incubator presented the opportunities of HTP residents in software development, the products and technologies which are currently under development.
Hi-Tech Park Director Vsevolod Yanchevsky and Kazakhstan’s Vice Premier Askar Zhumagaliyev exchanged opinions on the development of global information technologies and the corresponding challenges for the economies of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
According to the HTP, Belarus and Kazakhstan are taking steps to develop the latest IT and Kazakhstan shows interest in Decree No. 8 "On the development of the digital economy" adopted in Belarus. Belarus in turn is interested in the operation of the Astana International Finance Center.
The Kazakhstan delegation also visited the HTP resident companies EnCata and Synesis to discuss the prospects of joint Belarus-Kazakhstan projects.
