MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) - Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. is interested in cooperation with Belarusian scientists in the field of hydrogen technologies and other areas, the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) told BelTA following a meeting with a delegation from the Japanese corporation.
"The head of the Kawasaki delegation, General Manager of the Center for Strategic International Marketing Makoto Noda showed a particular interest in cooperation with Belarusian scientists in the field of hydrogen technology, electron-beam welding technology, research of cell properties," the press service informed. Makoto Noda also stressed that the Japanese side would like to explore the possibilities of establishing cooperation with organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
According to the press service, the focus was on the issues of expansion of promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and Japan in the fields of industry, energy and engineering. On behalf of Belarus the talks were attended by the heads of organizations of the physics and technical division of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
"Kawasaki is a good example of using science and getting good commercial results. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is ready to cooperate with the Japanese Corporation on a very broad range of areas,” the press service quoted Deputy Chairman of the NASB Presidium Sergei Chizhik. These areas include hydrogen energy, new technologies of electron-beam welding, creating mutli-functional and special materials, water jet cutting, development and manufacture of biomedical cell products.
Members of the delegation of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. got familiar with the new developments of scientists of the Academy of Sciences at the exhibition "Domestic Science for Industry”.
