MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) - The management of the Belarusian state light industry Bellegprom and OAO Kamvol held a working meeting to discuss the company’s development prospects on 18 August, BelTA learned from Bellegprom’s press service.
The participants of the meeting focused on the implementation of the business development plan, production and shipping plans, and also export expansion.
Tatiana Lugina, the chairperson of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom, emphasized the positive dynamics in the sales of half-wool fabrics with high added value, produced using the full technological cycle.
Kamvol Director General Irina Grigoryan stressed in her report that the export of fabrics to the CIS and non-CIS countries stood at the level of 101.6% compared to the same period last year.
Insufficient sales of Kamvol's products on the domestic market remains an issue. “The work to involve Belarusian departmental structures and other sewing organizations of various forms of ownership in the process of purchasing fabrics will be continued,” said Irina Grigoryan.
Head of the Kamvol design center Elvira Zhvikova shared the plans to expand the lineup of ready-made clothing made of worsted fabrics.
Kamvol is Belarus’ only and the CIS largest producer of pure wool and semi wool suit and dress fabrics, pure wool, semi wool, polyacrylonitrile knitted and woven yarn with a complete production cycle. The company's key partners are Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
