Juxin Malt to set up first manufacturing facility at China-Belarus Industrial Park

SMOLEVICHI DISTRICT, 18 September (BelTA) – Juxin Malt Technology will be the first to set up its manufacturing facility at the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. The ground breaking ceremony for the new facility took place on 18 September and was attended by Belarus’ Vice Premier Anatoly Kalinin and the Chinese delegation led by Governor of Gansu Province Liu Weiping, BelTA informs.

According to Anatoly Kalinin, the start has been given to a big investment project to be implemented at the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park.

“It is the result of the agreements reached between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the visit of the Chinese leader to Minsk in May 2015. Only four months have passed since the official opening of the industrial park and we already announce the construction of the first manufacturing facility,” the Vice Premier said.

Anatoly Kalinin stressed that the project with the total of more than $100 million in Chinese investment will be implemented within a year. In his words, this project will benefit both the sides. Belarus has a well-developed malt production. Chinese partners, however, will not be regarded as a competitor. They will send their products to China and third countries only. Chinese producers will also import raw material for their production from abroad.

The Vice Premier thanked the Governor of Gansu Province for cooperation in the implementation of the project. He added that the development of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park is in full swing. The necessary infrastructure will be ready in a year and a half. “In some five years’ time the park will be making a great contribution to the economic development of Belarus,” said Anatoly Kalinin.
