MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is ready to help develop the action plan for preparing a program on developing competition in Belarus, representatives of the Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry told BelTA.
The relevant protocol of intent was signed on 17 January as a result of the meeting of Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovich and Rolf Behrndt, IFC Global Practice Manager for Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation in Europe and Central Asia.
Plans were made to analyze legislation on competition and antimonopoly regulation. Indicators for regulating the markets of commodities and services in Belarus will be calculated.
The work will be done as part of the efforts to fulfill the government’s instructions to prepare the national competition development program.
