MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – In August 2018 the index of consumer prices for goods and services totaled 100.1% as against July 2018 and 102.9% as against December 2017, representatives of the National Statistics Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
In August 2018 the base index of consumer prices, which does not account for changes in prices for individual goods and services susceptible to administrative and seasonal factors, stood at 100.3% in comparison with July 2018 and 102.8% in comparison with December 2017.
In August 2018 food prices went down by 0.2% from July 2018 and went up 4.3% in comparison with August 2017. Non-food prices grew by 0.6% from July 2018 and by 2.8% from August 2017. The index of prices for and tariffs on paid services totaled 100.2% as against July 2018 and 109.6% as against August 2017.
