MOSCOW, 20 September (BelTA) – Matters concerning further mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Tatarstan within the framework of Russian-Belarusian relations were discussed during the meeting of President of Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko in Kazan on 20 September, the Embassy’s press service told BelTA.
The implementation of joint projects was also discussed during the meeting.
In 2015 Belarus-Tatarstan trade totaled $878.3 million, including $676.9 million as export to Belarus and $201.4 million as export to Tatarstan. The two sides traditionally cooperate in mechanical engineering, agricultural machinery engineering, production of utility vehicles, gas and petrochemical industry, textiles, pharmaceutics, agriculture, and food trade.
