Huawei to pay more attention to R&D in Belarus

MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) – Huawei Company will pay even more attention to the development of innovative research in Belarus, BelTA learned from Director General of Bel Huawei Technologies Company Pan Yong during the fifth Belarusian-Chinese youth innovation forum New Horizons 2017.

According to the source, information and communication technologies have drastically changed people’s lives in the last ten years. It is obvious that the positive changes will become even more substantial very soon. It is apparent that Belarus pays close attention to these matters, including at the state level. Pan Yong mentioned the importance of getting quality education for young people, who are destined to actively introduce cutting-edge innovations.

The Belarusian-Chinese youth innovation forum New Horizons 2017 took place in Minsk on 2-3 November with a view to facilitating the advancement of cooperation between Belarusian and Chinese university students and young scientists, in particular, their efforts to commercialize R&D results, mutually enrich the national cultures, and bolster friendly relations. Representatives of the Belarusian Education Ministry, the State Science and Technology Committee, the Belarusian National Technical University, the Confucius Institute on Science and Technology of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), the Embassy of China in Belarus, the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, OOO Bel Huawei Technologies, and other parties took part in the forum.

During the forum seminars and presentations of R&D and innovative ideas and projects took place. Panel sessions on information technologies, industrial design, civil engineering, architecture, sport engineering, medical electronics, and Belarus-China cooperation in humanitarian affairs were arranged. A visit to the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone and a presentation of the park’s capabilities also took place.
