MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – In Q1 2023 the growth rate of export to Russia exceeded 156%. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko made the statement at a session of the Council of Ministers, BelTA has learned.
Roman Golovchenko said: “In the first quarter of the year trade turnover increased by over 22%. The growth rate of Belarusian export to Russia totaled 156.6% but it is no reason to relax. Interaction with Russian regions has been considerably stepped up. Every month we welcome 2-3 heads of Russian regions in Belarus and visit at least one oblast of Russia.”
Participants of the conference are expected to discuss matters concerning the development of trade and economic relations with Russia in addition to summing up results of Q1 2023. Apart from that, ways to step up shipments to the Russian Federation are on the agenda.
