MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) - Belarus will help Penza Oblast to replace imported Western products, Governor of Russia’s Penza Oblast Oleg Melnichenko said during a meeting with Russian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Minsk on 31 March, BelTA has learned.
"We were seriously preparing for the visit. We carefully analyzed the range of products that we are interested in. We looked into our imports to be replaced. It features about 800 items which we will be replacing,” Governor Oleg Melnichenko said.
Belarus is hosting a representative delegation from Penza Oblast of Russia. It includes representatives of the Industrial Association, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, heads of large enterprises. The delegation is set to hold negotiations in the government and to visit Gefest-Technika, Amkodor, MAZ and other companies.
Governor Oleg Melnichenko noted that he often visited Belarus, he has friends in almost all regions of the country.
