MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – Global Entrepreneurship Week will be held in Belarus from 14 to 20 November, Anastasia Khomenkova, Deputy Director and Co-founder of the Bel.Biz Center for Business Communications, told reporters on 9 November, BelTA has learned.
“This year’s forum is about innovative thinking, new thinking for business owners, and ideas to develop business, boost export potential, and launch new services and products. All the events will be practice-oriented,” Anastasia Khomenkova said. She noted that all the speakers partaking in the initiative will share their unique first-hand experience.
Anastasia Khomenkova pointed out that for the first time, Global Entrepreneurship Week in Belarus will feature GovTech Hackathon, a platform for designing innovative solutions in the field of administrative procedures. Anyone ready to generate and develop innovative ideas and contribute to 24 hours of teamwork with entrepreneurs, government representatives and IT professionals are welcome to take part in GovTech Hackathon.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is held in more than 160 countries to draw public attention to the role of entrepreneurship in the development of economy and society. The forum invites people to tap into their potential through participation in 95,000 events. Belarus joined Global Entrepreneurship Week in 2011 to become 137th country participating in the largest entrepreneurial initiative in the world.
