Geely Holding Group ready for more projects in Belarus
HANGZHOU, 20 June (BelTA) – The Chinese automobile corporation Geely Holding Group is ready to implement projects with Belarus more actively, Ash Sutcliffe, manager of the corporation’s headquarters in Hangzhou, told BelTA at a meeting with the media of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
The Belarusian flag is installed on the office alongside the flags of other countries where the company implements joint projects.
Apart from cars Geely produces scooters and motorcycles. The company plans to produce mini-cars as the parking issue becomes sharper in megacities.
Over the years Geely Company has made advances in the manufacture of gearboxes and engines. Geely cars are cost-effective, and therefore, are sold in many countries around the world. Belarus is no exception. Moreover, this company has a manufacturing operation in Belarus.
Getting familiar with this company was one of the items on the program of the visit of the journalists of the SCO countries on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the organization and in anticipation of the Tashkent Summit. The event was organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Good-Neighborly and Friendly Cooperation Committee. This committee was established on the initiative of the Chinese President at the SCO Summit in 2012.
