MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ Finance Minister Maksim Yermolovich met with head of the economic service at the Ministry for Economy and Finance of France Michel Houdebine in Paris on 28 November, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in France.
“The parties discussed issues related to the development of cooperation in the economic and financial sectors, attraction of French investments in the Belarusian economy, and also a number of aspects of the activity of Belarusian and French enterprises on the markets of the two countries,” the embassy said. At the meeting with the leadership of one of the leading European banking institutions Societe Generale, Belarus presented its macroeconomic indicators, discussed issues of debt capital markets and raising funds for the implementation of joint projects in Belarus.
The visit of the Belarusian delegation headed by the finance minister to Paris was organized with the assistance of the Belarusian embassy in France. The delegation included Belarus Ambassador to France Pavel Latushko, Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Viktor Ananich, representatives of the National Bank and the Finance Ministry of Belarus.
