MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – An exhibition-forum of innovative companies and startups will be held during the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Belarus (GEW Belarus) at the BelExpo exhibition center on 13-14 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the BEL.BIZ Center of Business Communication.
“The exhibition-forum will offer an intensive immersion into the startup-ecosystem of Belarus. Participants will be able to mingle with decision-makers representing companies that generate innovation and technologies in the country and the world. Companies on the cutting edge of innovation and technology, sci-tech communities and the most remarkable startups, including OneSoil and PandaDoc, are our target audience,” Head of the BEL.BIZ Center of Business Communication Anastasia Khomenkova said. In her words, participants will be able to catch the eye of investors, showcase their leadership skills in innovation and technology, get inspired with new ideas, forge new contacts and meet potential partners.
The forum will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, officials, international experts and representatives of startups. Among the participating companies are the Belarusian Innovative Foundation, BSB Bank, ANGELS’ Band (early stage investors), IPM Business School, Belarusbank, British Embassy in Belarus, Belagroprombank, Mulberry Club (English language school). The booths will be divided into several sections: Financial Technology, Investment, Innovations, Business Support, Education For Business, Technology For Business, and Technology Communities.
Key events of the forum will include the Mentor of the Year competition, BEL.BIZ Battle International Startup Competition 2018 and a children’s conference on entrepreneurship.
The Global Entrepreneurship Week is an annual global event aimed at finding new ideas for entrepreneurship. The event takes place in 170 countries. In 2018 the Global Entrepreneurship Week will draw over 15,000 partner organizations around the world under the auspices of Kauffman Foundation. This event has been held in Belarus since 2011. Its official representative is the BEL.BIZ Center of Business Communication. Its partners are the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Economy Ministry, the International Finance Corporation and the British Embassy. The event will be supported by the Council of Ministers of Belarus.
