MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Foreign investors injected $4.5 billion in the real economy of Belarus in January-June 2023, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
The main investors were entities of the Russian Federation (57.1% of all incoming investment), Cyprus (20.2%). Foreign direct investment amounted to $3.6 billion, or 79.7% of all foreign investment.
In January-June 2023, the country's organizations transferred $3.1 billion worth of investment abroad. Significant investment was made in entities of the Russian Federation (91.9% of total). Direct investment accounted for 81.3% of all investment directed abroad.
