ORSHA DISTRICT, 6 February (BelTA) – The first export train bearing Belarusian goods of the logistics company Bremino Group will leave Orsha for Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China on 11 February. The information was released by Alexander Zaitsev, Chairman of the General Meeting of Bremino Group Participants, as an automobile logistics terminal was opened in the multimodal industrial and logistics complex Bremino-Orsha in the town of Bolbasovo, Orsha District, Vitebsk Oblast on 6 February, BelTA has learned.
According to Alexander Zaitsev, it is the first export train Bremino Group is preparing to dispatch in association with the Chinese company Cosco Shipping. The train will deliver 41 containers to China, they are being assembled now. The time in transit will be ten days while transportation by sea would take over 40 days. The Belarusian logistics company intends to increase the volume of container shipping from Orsha in the future and deliver cargoes at least once per month.
Orsha has been receiving Bremino Group’s proprietary container trains from China since May 2018. Two trains arrive every week now. “We are not satisfied with our accomplishments. We are ready to develop this route together with partners,” stressed Alexander Zaitsev.
Alexander Zaitsev noted that a good foundation for developing container transportation via Orsha and the city’s integration Silk Road routes has been created in the last few years. “We have plans to set up a modern railway terminal in Bremino Orsha to handle all the operations container cargoes need,” added Alexander Zaitsev.
