MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – The OOO ZVKONT company, which resides in the free economic zone (FEZ) Minsk, has created 85 jobs at the Molodechno metal structures plant, the FEZ Minsk administration told BelTA.
The company intends to step up manufacturing, start making new kinds of products, and create another 30 jobs in 2021.
ZVKONT was registered as a FEZ Minsk resident company on 20 March 2020. The company set out to implement an investment project, which provides for setting up an enterprise to make containers.
These containers can be used to transport any bulky goods such as biomass, fertilizers, coal, and grain. The use of containers saves money otherwise spent on transshipment. Containers also prevent the goods from increased humidity and losses. There is also no need to wrap the goods for transportation.
The free economic zone (FEZ) Minsk was founded in 1998. Since then it has become a leading industrial center and has raised investments to the tune of over $2 billion. FEZ Minsk resident companies exported over $12 billion worth of merchandise of their own make. Over 26,000 jobs have been created as well. As many as 45 modern plants and factories have been built and the necessary engineering infrastructure has been created in FEZ Minsk. At present FEZ Minsk is home to 120 resident companies. They specialize in various branches of the production sector. The main ones are mechanical engineering and metalworking, automobile engineering, production of construction materials, electronics, and printing.
