GRODNO, 14 December (BelTA) – Resident companies of the Free Economic Zone Grodnoinvest are expanding their geographic footprint, BelTA learned from the FEZ administration.
In January-October the FEZ residents sold products to 55 countries. New markets included Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Iceland, Peru, Somali and others.
“In January-October 2020 the export reached $778 million. The main markets are the CIS countries which account for 79% of the total, and also the EU member states: Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Latvia, Germany,” the FEZ administration said.
The export to the EU exceeded $156 million, up 11% from the same period in 2019. Deliveries considerably increased to Germany, Canada, South Korea, the Netherlands, the UAE, Poland, the United States, Turkey, Switzerland, and Estonia.
The main exports include wooden products and furniture, fertilizers, chemical products, plastic and metal goods, food and agricultural products, textile, and vehicle components.
