GRODNO, 6 April (BelTA) – Resident companies of the FEZ Grodnoinvest put into operation nine production and engineering facilities in Q1 2023, BelTA learned from the press service of the FEZ.
“As part of the plans to implement investment projects at the industrial sites of the free economic zone in Grodno Oblast, resident companies of the FEZ Grodnoinvest commissioned nine production and engineering facilities estimated at a total of over Br8 million in the first quarter of 2023. For example, Aquapack Industrial installed an automatic line to assemble gratings as part of the project to launch the production of packaging and flexible labels. Plant Optic put into operation a glass furnace during the upgrade of its fiber production facility,” the FEZ informed.
In addition to that, Slonimmebel mounted new equipment during its production upgrade effort; Slonim Cardboard and Paper Plant Albertin renovated local treatment facilities. BelGreenline launched a new wet wipes production line. Taifun refurbished its storage premises as it was gearing up to scale up production of building mixtures. KONUS completed the construction of an administrative and amenity complex,” the FEZ Grodnoinvest added.
“Grodno Glassworks is working on a project to launch the production of glass containers using innovative energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies. The company has started preparing a new furnace for operation, testing equipment and production lines. Smorgon Assembly Plant is installing equipment that will help automate production processes, ramp up output and launch new models of agricultural machinery,” the FEZ Grodnoinvest said. The FEZ also noted that a new resident company WestTransGranitsa has plans to build an international logistics hub for a wide range of goods together with wholesalers and retailers.
