MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – The export of Belarusian pharmaceutical products to Uzbekistan is expected to reach $2.9 million this year, the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry told BelTA.
As many as 244 titles of Belarusian medications, medical products, and medical equipment are registered in Uzbekistan. There are plans to increase export to Uzbekistan in 2019.
As a Belarusian government delegation visited Uzbekistan the healthcare ministries of the two countries signed an agreement on cooperation in the area of healthcare and medical science.
Belarusian pharmaceutical companies (Borimed, Lekpharm) and Uzbek companies are expected to sign contracts for multiple deliveries.
Belarus-Uzbekistan trade in medications has been made possible thanks to registration certificates. The Belarusian holding company Belpharmprom has received 199 registration certificates for medications in Uzbekistan. Papers for another 12 are being reviewed. Another 23 dossiers will be filed by the end of the year.
