MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – In 2022 the Industry Ministry increased export to the Russian Federation by 50%. Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik mentioned it before a session of the Belarusian Industry Ministry board began, BelTA has learned.
Piotr Parkhomchik said: “Export reorientation is one of the most important matters the production sector had to address last year. Very good results were achieved. If we talk about the Industry Ministry, the growth rate of export to the Russian Federation totaled 150% in 2022 while the growth rate of export to the CIS states amounted to 141%. Positive dynamics was secured virtually in all friendly countries, countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.”
A lot of attention is also paid to remote countries. “Export diversification is a clear stance of our president,” the deputy prime minister stressed.
“Our production sector did not simply survive difficult times. It stands well on its feet and should be able to hit all the assigned performance targets this year,” the official stressed.
