MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) – The representative office of the Russian export credit and investment insurance agency EXIAR in Belarus is considering supporting 21 projects worth over $670 million, BelTA learned from Viktor Doronkevich, head of the EXIAR representative office in Belarus.
Power engineering, infrastructure projects, and the manufacturing of high-tech products were mentioned among priorities of EXIAR’s work in Belarus. “EXIAR now has over 40 new clients thanks to our work in Belarus. We are now considering 21 projects worth a total of over $670 million,” noted Viktor Doronkevich.
The EXIAR representative office in Belarus offers a number of services to clients. Among other things clients are informed about EXIAR’s capabilities and offers. Clients, who are partners of Russian companies and buy products made by Russian companies, are consulted and trained. Deals are prepared and the agency makes sure the deals come to fruition. “Initially we focused on raising the awareness about new capabilities of the insurance program, which is dynamically developing in Russia. Although the program is designed to support Russian export, it offers a number of advantages to Belarusian companies, too,” explained Viktor Doronkevich. First of all, Belarusian companies can take out long-term loans on preferential terms.
