MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – Smart manufacturing demonstration centers will be set up in Belarus with assistance from the European Union. This matter was discussed at the meeting of Belarus’ Deputy Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar with Berend de Groot, Head of the EU Cooperation Program for the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
“The participants of the meeting discussed joint efforts in promoting innovations in entrepreneurship, in particular, a possibility to set up smart manufacturing demonstration centers at Belarus’ regional universities with the assistance from the European Union,” the ministry noted.
At the end of the talks, the parties agreed on setting up such centers in the universities of Vitebsk Oblast, Gomel Oblast and Mogilev Oblast. The project might be launched in 2021.
