MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – All the market vendors will work in equal conditions as from 1 January 2016. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement at the government conference held on 17 March to discuss the regulation and development of several kinds of entrepreneurship, BelTA has learned.
“There will be no more respites! We’ve been giving enough respites as it is,” said the head of state referring to the government allowing market traders to sell their merchandise without quality certificates.
“We need civilized forms of retail. Hauling merchandise in bags without documents is abnormal. It is even degrading for us,” stressed the President.
“Nobody will work without documents in Belarus! We have to make the transition to civilization sooner or later anyway. Moreover, with my strict policies,” added Alexander Lukashenko.
According to the President, all the market vendors in the country have to work in equal conditions. Alexander Lukashenko encouraged market vendors to unite and think about how they are going to work in these conditions starting next year. The head of state remarked that if necessary, help can be provided, including loans of the World Bank and the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
