MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – Egypt’s Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate is interested in cooperation with Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Rachkov made a working trip to Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate on 1 June. At the meeting with Kafr el-Sheikh Governor Al-Sayed Nasr the Belarusian Ambassador discussed trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation with the Egyptian region.
“Taking into account the agrarian focus of the governorate, Belarus displayed its potential in the delivery of farm equipment and establishment of joint assembly plants for agricultural equipment. Governor Al-Sayed Nasr expressed interest in the establishment of direct ties with one of Belarus’ regions and in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation,” the press release of the press service reads.
During the working trip the Belarusian Ambassador met with Rector of Kafrelsheikh University. The meeting was also attended by Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University Boris Khrustalev. The sides discussed the implementation of a cooperation agreement between the Belarusian National Technical University, Tabbin Institute For Metallurgical Studies, and Kafrelsheikh University.
