MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Egyptian companies are interested in purchasing products of the woodworking industry via the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), the BUCE press service told BelTA following a presentation of the BUCE advantages at the chamber of commerce of Damietta Governorate, the largest center of the woodworking and furniture industry of Egypt.
The meeting focused on prospects for boosting Belarus-Egypt mutual trade, including with the help of the BUCE. The presentation focused on the exchange trading, accreditation procedure, options for participation in trading, and the main advantages of the exchange. Special consideration was given to the export to Egypt of products of the Belarusian woodworking industry, including frame-panel and glulam laminated beam houses.
The parties agreed to draw up a cooperation plan between the Belarusian side and Damietta’s chamber of commerce that is ready to help attract Egyptian companies to the exchange.
“Plans are in place to compile a list of products that are popular in the markets of both the countries and launch their sales via the BUCE. For Egypt, such products include lumber products and milk powder, for Belarus – cable products, furniture, and food products,” the BUCE press service noted.
