MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Ecuador takes an interest in the acquisition of Belarusian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), BelTA learned from Belarusian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Vashchenko on 17 January.
An Ecuadorian delegation led by Minister Coordinator of Internal and External Security Policy of Ecuador Cesar Navas Vera is in Belarus on a visit. “In the Academy of Sciences they were seriously interested in our unmanned aerial vehicles. They would like to buy some and set up an enterprise in Ecuador later on in order to satisfy the domestic demand and sell UAVs on their continent,” said the Belarusian Emergencies Minister.
The Ecuadorian delegation visited the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry on 17 January. A memorandum of understanding in cooperation in preventing and managing catastrophes and emergencies was signed between the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry and the Risk Management Secretariat of Ecuador. According to Vladimir Vashchenko, the Ecuadorian side is interested in personnel training as well as Belarusian rescue equipment and vehicles.
