MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – The organizing committee for the China-Belarus forum on cooperation and regional development which is to be held as part of the Belt and Road initiative in 2019, has been approved by Belarus’ prime minister’s Decree No74p of 21 March 2019, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi has been elected chairman of the organizing committee. Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich has been chosen his deputy. The organizing committee has also comprised representatives of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, ministries of finance, information, foreign affairs, culture, transport and communications, sport and tourism, the National Agency of Investment of Privatization, the Minsk City Hall and the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.
The organizing committee will work out and approve an action plan for the organization of the forum. If necessary, heads and specialists of government bodies and other organizations will be involved in the work.
