DUSHANBE, 25 April (BelTA - Khovar) – Bilateral cooperation in agriculture and food production, delivery of farm equipment to Tajikistan were discussed at the meeting of Belarus Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats and Tajikistan Agriculture Minister
Izatullo Sattori, BelTA has learned.The meeting took place as part of the 10th session of the Belarusian-Tajik intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation which is held in Dushanbe on 25-26 April.
The participants of the session discuss eleven issues pertaining to the energy sector, agriculture, transport, construction, science and education, support of small and medium-sized enterprises, investments and regional cooperation.
In 2014, the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Belarus reduced by 4.4% from 2013 to $37.4 million. Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) and the unitary enterprise Tajikagroleasing are mulling over the delivery of Belarusian farm vehicles and equipment to Tajikistan.
