GRODNO, 3 September (BelTA) – Delegations from ten countries will take part in the expo and fair Euroregion Neman 2015 in Grodno, BelTA learned from Andrei Sviridov, Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee.
The fair is expected to gather representatives of the diplomatic corps and the business circles, official delegations from Kazakhstan, China, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Czechia and other countries. Some countries will take an active part in the fair. For instance, Grodno is expected to welcome a major delegation from China’s Gansu Province. A fair to sell Chinese consumer goods will be arranged. It will feature products made by ten Chinese companies. Poland’s Podlaskie Voivodeship will present the region’s tourism potential during Euroregion Neman and will also bring a street theater and a dancing and singing ensemble that will perform a concert. The Lithuanian delegation is expected to present itself in a special manner: the association of ancient skills and cultural legacy of Lithuania will treat visitors to Lithuanian cuisine.
About 150 companies from Grodno Oblast and the rest of Belarus will present their products during Euroregion Neman. In particular, the exhibition area will be divided into industries: meat and dairy industry, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, furniture, textile industry, and other branches. As much as 1,600m2 of indoor and outdoor exhibition space will be utilized.
The international investment forum Grodno Oblast at the Crossing of Borders will also take place as part of Euroregion Neman. Panel sessions will be held to highlight Grodno’s investment potential, prospects of cooperation in developing the tourism industry, cooperation via international technical aid programs, and innovative business solutions. A number of international agreements on economic, investment and information cooperation between enterprises and regions are expected to be signed during the forum.
The 17th fair and expo Euroregion Neman is expected to take place in Grodno on 11-12 September 2015. Apart from demonstrating products and services of companies and organizations the oblast capital will host fairs selling consumer goods, souvenirs, fruits and vegetables, folk crafts products. A business matchmaking session between representatives of Belarusian and foreign business circles will also take place.
