MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – Cuba is interested in cooperation with scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in such areas as biomedicine, microbiology, soil protection, and nanotechnologies. The relevant statement was made by Cuban Deputy Science, Technology, and Environment Minister Danilo Alonso Mederos during negotiations with top officials of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
Gusakov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, expressed desire to step up cooperation, including cooperation in space technologies, unmanned aerial vehicle systems, electric transport, information technologies, production of the latest medications, and the training of top-qualification scientific personnel.
The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus places special emphasis on the advancement of mutually beneficial cooperation with Cuba, noted Vladimir Gusakov. “You have a considerable scientific potential. Cuban science develops vigorously. Many scientific interests of Belarus and Cuba coincide. But our cooperation is insufficient,” the official said.
