MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Companies affiliated with the Industry Ministry signed more more than 70 contracts to supply equipment to Russia totaling $382 million during the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, BelTA learned from spokesman for the Industry Ministry Vladimir Podolyak.
The contracts were concluded with MTZ, MAZ, BelAZ, Gomselmash, Minsk motor plant, Bobruiskagromash, Mogilevliftmash, BelOMO, Amkodor, Kozlov Minsk Electrotechnical Plant.
“Belarusian industrial enterprises have long-standing and strong ties with Russian partners. This year, we have maintained interaction with 75 regions of Russia. In January-August, the trade of the companies affiliated with the Industry Ministry with Russia amounted to more than $2.74 billion, which was up 15% over the same period a year earlier,” Vladimir Podolyak said.
Belarus supplies metal products, tractors, mining, cargo, passenger, special-purpose equipment and chassis, grain and forage harvesters, lifting equipment, electrical products, integrated circuits, municipal and road-building equipment, automotive components, and other goods to Russia.
