Chinese experience to help Belarus develop digital transport corridors

Chinese experience to help Belarus develop digital transport corridors

BEIJING, 24 April (BelTA) – Chinese specialists will share their experience of development of digital transport corridors with Belarus. The goal is stipulated by the agreement the Belarusian side signed with LOGINK (the National Public Information Platform for Transportation & Logistics) in Beijing, BelTA learned from Igor Mikhailovsky, Director of the Applied Software Systems Institute of the Belarusian Communications and Informatization Ministry.

The official said: “Today we’ve signed an agreement with China’s largest logistics operator LOGINK with a view to creating digital transport corridors, logistics systems, and consultations with each other. As an institute, which develops information systems, we’ve worked with and signed agreements with potential partners from various countries, including in China today.”

Igor Mikhailovsky explained that the Chinese company performs logistics functions in an entire region and has signed agreements with foreign partners. “They’ve organized a very serious logistics network. We expect we are going to interact with this company within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, our transit interests, opportunities,” he said.

“We are in the center of Europe. Everyone is interested in the Chinese market now, in transit, in accelerating these processes and removing as many barriers as possible. It becomes feasible within the framework of digital transformation. Once the largest logistics operators of different countries have normalized data sharing relations, then all of our digital corridors and fast transit will be implemented as well as Belarus’ interests (we are a country located between the West and the East),” Igor Mikhailovsky added.
