MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Belarus and China’s Shandong Province plan to consider the prospects for the implementation of sci-tech projects at the Belarusian-Chinese Industrial Park Great Stone, BelTA learnt from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.
“The matter was discussed at the meeting between Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Alexander Shumilin and Vice Governor of China’s Shandong Province Wang Shujian on 24 May. First of all, these are projects in mechanical engineering, information and communication technologies,” representatives of the State Science and Technology Committee said.
According to Alexander Shumilin, over 20 joint sci-tech projects are successfully implemented as part of the Belarusian-Chinese sci-tech cooperation. All of them envisage high-technology production. “Besides, as a result of the joint competition announced in February 2016 more than 40 Belarusian-Chinese sci-tech projects have been submitted for state expert review. It is expected that the list of these projects will be approved by the Chinese-Belarusian intergovernmental commission of cooperation in science and technology at its meeting in Minsk in June 2016,” the committee said.
The delegation of Shandong Province is in Minsk on a visit on 23-25 May. The delegation comprises representatives of the science and technology department of the province, the Academy of Sciences, commerce department, the foreign affairs office and the Linyi City Hall
