MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) – The status of an authorized economic operator granted by the Belarusian customs authorities to importers and exporters will be recognized in China. The agreement on the mutual recognition of the Belarusian program of authorized economic operators and the Chinese program on enterprise credit management signed by the State Customs Committee of Belarus and the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China came into force on 24 July, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.
In line with the document, Belarus’ customs authorities will assign the highest level of credit to companies that were granted the status of high-credit enterprises by the Chinese customs service. At the same time, the Chinese customs service will recognize the status of authorized economic operators granted by the Belarusian customs authorities.
“The mutual recognition will give a number of preferences to the economic operators having a respective status. One of such preferences is fast customs clearance, including customs procedures related to the issue of goods and customs control,” the State Customs Committee informed.
