MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) - China is interested in shipments of Belarusian peat products, BelTA learned from the press service of the Energy Ministry of Belarus.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong visited the Mazolovogaz agricultural facility of the Vitebsk Oblast natural gas provider Vitebskoblgaz on 12 July. The possibilities of cooperation in the peat industry, the terms of partnership with Vitebsktorf, one of Belarus’ major peat producers, were also discussed.
The ambassador was briefed on the Mazolovogaz line of business and the product line-up manufactured by Vitebsktorf, including the non-fuel group for the needs of the agricultural industry. "The company has already signed the first contracts to supply trial batches of peat nutrient soils to the Chinese market," the press service said.
The parties also discussed the prospects for strengthening and expanding cooperation in this area. "We are ready to develop a mutually beneficial partnership in the peat industry with Belarusian producers," the ambassador noted.
