MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – A presentation of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone took place in the China-Vietnam industrial park Linh Trung in Ho Chi Minh City, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in China.
The Belarusian embassy held the presentation in cooperation with the China National Electric Import & Export Corporation (CUEC). The event took place in the China-Vietnam industrial park and gathered Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean and European investors operating in Vietnam. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam Vladimir Goshin and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy represented Belarus. Head of the park’s administration Alexander Yaroshenko and Deputy Director of SZAO Industrial Park Development Company Kirill Koroteyev presented the Belarus-China industrial park project in detail.
After the presentation the participants discussed the details and operating conditions for foreign investors in the Great Stone park. After the discussion minimum two Chinese companies showed specific interest in the project and made preparations for visiting Belarus.
The Linh Trung Industrial Park occupies the territory of 327.5 hectares. The total volume of investments amounts to $55.5 billion. The park raises around $0.5 billion in FDI per year. In 2016 the park’s export made up $2.5 billion. The Linh Trung Industrial Park comprises more than 150 resident companies with the total number of about 100,000 employees. The resident companies specialize in light industry, mechanical engineering and energy industry.
