MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) – The current cooperation issues were discussed at a meeting between Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) Pavel Kallaur and Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania Vitas Vasiliauskas in Grodno on 7 December, BelTA learnt from the NBRB Information and PR Department.
“The parties continued the discussion of the issues related to the monetary policy implemented by the central banks of the two countries, shared information on the integration process in the financial and banking spheres within the Eurasian Economic Union and the current trends in the economic sector of the eurozone,” the specialists noted. The heads of the central banks also considered promising areas of cooperation.
The delegation of the Lithuanian central bank paid a return visit to Belarus as part of the agreements reached during the visit of the delegation of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus to the Bank of Lithuania in July 2015.
